What is included in a fishing charter with Mr Trigger Sport Fishing?

Every charter includes premium Shimano and Penn fishing tackle, live bait setups from our custom tuna tubes, top-water lures, and required Costa Rica fishing licenses. We also cover all refreshments—supplying ice-cold beers, water, fruit juices, snacks, fresh ceviche, and a hot Costa Rican típico lunch on full-day runs, plus dockside catch cleaning and filleting.

Do I need to bring my own fishing gear on a Costa Rica fishing charter?

No, you do not need to bring any fishing gear. Mr Trigger comes fully equipped with high-end rods, reels, and specialized terminal tackle for trolling, light tackle spinning, popping, jigging, and fly fishing. All you need to pack are polarized sunglasses, non-marking deck shoes, sun protection, and a camera.

Is catch cleaning and filleting included in the fishing trip?

Yes, catch cleaning and filleting are completely included with every charter. First Mate Evelio will clean, fillet, and bag your legal eatable catch—such as Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, or Snapper—so you can take dinner straight to a local restaurant in Tamarindo or Playa Flamingo.
