Together, they take pride in teaching anglers of all skill levels, explaining the mechanics behind live bait selection, trolling spreads, and reading water conditions so guests walk away with both great memories and new skills. What truly sets Captain Jason apart is his ability to read the ocean like an open map. His daily decisions are driven by real-time analysis of water clarity, thermal shifts, bait movements, and seasonal migrations across drop-offs and nearshore reefs. This deep-rooted local knowledge ensures that every decision made at the helm—from changing trolling paths to switching target species—is backed by years of hands-on data. Guests fishing with Captain Jason can rest easy knowing they are in the care of an attentive, safety-focused guide whose primary goal is providing an authentic, high-quality ocean experience grounded in expertise and integrity.
The Vessel: A Restored 34ft Blackfin Combi Built for Guanacaste Waters
Complementing Captain Jason’s leadership is Mr Trigger, a fully restored 34-foot Blackfin Combi built specifically for high-performance sport fishing.
